Building a Business From the Ground Up

In 1997, Joe Huber started building Huber Construction from the ground up. It began with providing roofing services to residential and commercial customers. Right from the start, customers respected the way Joe worked, and appreciated the efficiency, quality and personal touch he gave to every job. Soon they were requesting that Joe and his associates help with their siding. From there, Huber Construction quickly expanded into installation of windows and gutters, remodeling, and new home construction.

As Huber Construction has grown, so has its reputation. As the 2007 Trillium Award winner for the Best Model Home Interior, Huber Construction has won the recognition and respect of the industry.  And as nearly 75%  of Huber customers come from referrals, it’s obvious that Huber has earned the gratitude and satisfaction of the public as well.

That’s because since the beginning, Joe has taken good care of his customers, proactively addressing concerns and dealing with issues before they become problems, as well as providing the kind of quality construction services they need and deserve.
In the end, that means that a Huber Construction customer is a satisfied customer. And you can take their word for it.

Joe Huber - President

Joe Huber has been in the construction business for fifteen years. With a wide-ranging background in everything from roofing to real estate development, Joe has acquired the knowledge, skill and experience that make him an expert in the industry. To this day, Joe’s vision for Huber Construction remains the same—to continue to provide quality construction service to all customers.

Through the years, as his company has been accepted into the community, Joe has made certain that Huber Construction maintains a participatory role in giving back. Organizations to which Huber Construction regularly contributes include the Big Lake Youth Hockey Team, the Monticello Fire Department, the Monticello Softball Team, and the Community Health Foundation.

In his free time, Joe relaxes with his wife and three kids, enjoying water sports and downhill skiing.

Dwight Gunnarson, P.E. - General Manager

Dwight started his construction career gaining practical experience in the field as a bulldozer and backhoe operator.  He has since graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and applies those skills along with his practical experience each day at Huber Construction Co.

Dwight has served as a sales supervisor for an outstanding local electric cooperative that focused on exceptional customer service.  Feeling the need to get back to his construction roots, Dwight became a full time civil engineer with a local firm and managed many residential and commercial site design and preparation projects.  Dwight received his Professional Engineers license in 2005.

Dwight applies his many skills to continue to provide the value and integrity Huber Construction customers have come to appreciate.  He is a member of Lions International and enjoys golf, snowmobiling and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
